The muesli at breakfast was great-creamy, crunchy, and downright addictive! Plus, the spacious room had a cozy vibe with lovely decor, and the wine tour was super fun. We're talking nice moments galore!
It wasn't easy communicating with staff in English, a bit of a bummer. My safe was locked upon arrival, and I wished there was a printout of services available right away.

The property offers decent prices. The hotel itself is stylish and ideal, the bedroom is large. This property has unbeatable location right next to the winery. Also it is next to the garden and yard and the two restaurants which apparently are totally different in experience and food and Trakian temple. Excellent co-operating personnel is at the reception desk.

great room but slow service
The Beautiful Double Room was spacious, with a big bathroom and a lovely terrace that we enjoyed. The restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, and the homemade cakes at breakfast were a good surprise. The spa experience was relaxing, with well-maintained facilities that enhanced our stay. The mineral pools were a perfect escape.

In the suite a private jacuzzi, huge room with a great view, many exotic animals including a peacock roam freely on the premises, children have a great fun area, overall a very well-rounded stay!
As in the whole of Bulgaria swallows have a privilege, i.e. if you go into the Jacuzzi you will be grumbled at by a flock of swallows, just like in the interior of the restaurant various birds are flying around. So bird allergy is difficult here, otherwise it is highly recommended!

Clean hotel, comfortable beds, satisfactory breakfasts and affable stuff. A minibar, a sofa bed and a stone fireplace available in the studio suite. Really had very good stay for more than one night.

The Superior Double or Twin Room in Thracian Residence Starosel caught my eye with its vibrant traditional Bulgarian decor. I enjoyed the great view from the spacious terrace. The spa area included excellent amenities, like multiple pools, though many were not thermal as advertised. I appreciated the separate thermal pools in the older hotel-these were a highlight of my stay and offered a refreshing experience. Food selections at the buffet were good and high-quality, although I found the extra charges for drinks, including water, puzzling during meal times. Service at dinner was noticeably slow. It took a while to get attention from the staff. Some staff members seemed overwhelmed or indifferent at peak times. The amenities were excellent, and the wine selection was great. I'd recommend the hotel reevaluate their pricing strategy and staff training during busy periods.

The outdoor pool was cute, but our room smelled like cigarettes.

The spa experience was relaxing with well-maintained facilities.
I encountered several issues that left me disappointed. The communication among the staff was noticeably poor, especially between the two reception areas. This made check-in and inquiries quite frustrating. I experienced a lack of attention during dinner service, where it took too long to get the staff's attention, impacting the overall dining experience.

The mineral water at the complex is fantastic, and the swimming pools are well-designed for relaxation. The gardens surrounding the area are well-maintained.
While the spa facilities look appealing, most amenities in the Blue Zone weren't fully functional, and the thermal pools mentioned are actually located in a separate hotel that requires a trek outside. The dining experience felt a bit lacking, with the food being merely okay-especially given the dining option missing due to a private event.
